The author of this site, Davis King, is a computer scientist currently working on a Ph.D. at Georgia Tech. His research is on 3D compression, ways to measure the shape complexity of 3D surfaces, and related aspects of computer graphics and computer vision. His advisor is Jarek Rossignac, the inventor of the Edgebreaker algorithm and co-inventor of the Topological Surgery algorithm for mesh compression. Davis has received an Intel Fellowship for his work in this area, and he has previously worked as a research intern at Hewlett-Packard Labs, as a freelance programmer/consultant, as a trader on Wall Street, and as a sailing instructor.
